Victoria Hurley, 26, of Columbia was taken into custody and has been charged with TBUT shoplifting, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of methamphetamine.
Officer Holly Necessary was the arresting Officer.
On Monday, May 1, The Columbia Police Department was notified initially of a shoplifter at Columbia Walmart on Burksville Street. After responding and initiating contact with female, subject was found to be in possession of suspected narcotics including methamphetamine, Xanax bars, and suspected fentanyl.

Early Friday morning shortly after 1AM an inmate from Adair Regional Jail was transported by Adair EMS to TJ Samson Columbia complaining of illness. Once at TJ Samson male subject attempted to flee on foot before being overtaken by jail staff and placed back in custody.
Barry Kerr, 48, of Russell Springs has been charged with escape 2nd degree. Kerr has been an inmate since January of this year for drug charges. Officer Elliot Smith was the arresting Officer. The Judge Executive’s office has received several calls concerning the Adair County Transfer Station closing. I would like to clarify that this is not true and the transfer station is open for business as usual with no plan of closing in the near future unless some unforeseen issue arises.
