A GREEN COUNTY MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE THEFT OF PROPERTY FROM A LOCATION IN CAMPBELLSVILLE BACK IN OCTOBER. ACCORDING TO THE TAYLOR COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE 27 YEAR OLD STEVEN PILKINGTON OF GREENSBURG HAS BEEN ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH BURGLARY IN THE THIRD DEGREE IN CONNECTION WITH THE THEFT OF A RIDING LAWN MOWER FROM A LOCATION ON HIGHLAND DRIVE IN CAMPBELLSVILLE. THE LAWN MOWER HAS BEEN RECOVERED. PILKINGTON WAS LODGED IN THE TAYLOR COUNTY JAIL.

On Thursday December 28, 2017. The Adair County Sheriff's Office responded to the 39 mile marker of the Cumberland Parkway for a single vehicle collision. Preliminary investigation determines Erb Roution of Greensburg was operating a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee East bound. When the vehicle veered into the median and the operator over corrected the vehicle.
The vehicle then slid out of control striking the guard rail causing the vehicle to flip before landing on all four wheels. Erb Roution and passenger Norman Roution was transported from the scene by Adair County EMS to TJ Health Columbia and later transported by THI and Air Evac to University of Kentucky Hospital. The Adair County Sheriff's Office was assisted on the scene by Columbia Police Department, Adair County Fire Department, and Adair County EMS. Christina J. Simpson, 29 of Liberty, arrested by Pulaski County Sheriff's Office for DUI (Aggravated Circumstance), & Careless Driving.
Norman S. Gossett, 52 of Somerset, arrested by KSP for DUI (Aggravated Circumstance), Possession of Methamphetamine & Drug Paraphernalia, No Insurance, & No Registration. William H. Fugate, 39 of Somerset, arrested by KSP for Careless Driving, License to be in Possession, Driving on a Suspended/Revoked Operator's License, No Insurance, No Registration, & Failure to Wear Seatbelts. Eric R. Gibson, 44 of Somerset, arrested by Pulaski Co. Sheriff's Office for Possession of Methamphetamine, & Public Intoxication of a Controlled Substance. Lacey P. Caudill, 24 of Nancy, arrested by Pulaski Co. Sheriff's Office for Assault-2nd Degree (Domestic Violence), & Criminal Mischief-1st Degree. Christopher Ramsey, who is the current Russell Co. Deputy Judge, was hired by the City Council. The vote was unanimous, 6-0. Former clerk Wendy Burton retired, leaving the position open. A total of 19 applications were submitted. The hiring of a city clerk was the only item on the agenda. Story courtesy of wvlc.com The Taylor County Sheriff's Department is seeking the location of two identified subjects in connection to a burglary and criminal mischief case reported on Christmas Day at the former Taylor County Elementary Building on Lebanon Avenue in Campbellsville.
The incident occured around 3:00pmET Monday, December 25, 2017 when two individuals identified as Jospeph A. Murrrell and Jesika Myers (AKA Jessica Johnson) were on video footage entering the building. Several electronic devices were taken. The suspects also damaged several interior doors while forcing their way into offices inside the building, Warrants have been obtained for their arrests. Anyone with information to their whereabouts is asked to please contact the Taylor County Sheriff's office. Deputy Robert VanCleave is investigating. GLASGOW POLICE SAY THE BODY OF 42 YEAR OLD KELLY SAWYER OF GLASGOW WAS NOTICED BY A PASSER-BY LAYING IN THE PARKING LOT OF ELMORE REALTY ON OIL CITY ROAD IN GLASGOW. THE INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING. GLASGOW POLICE SAY FOUL PLAY IS SUSPECTED.

ACCORDING TO OFFICIALS WITH THE JAMESTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENT FIREFIGHTERS RESPONDED TO A FIRE AT 100 POPPLEWELL STREET IN JAMESTOWN TO FIND A MOBILE HOME FULLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE BODY OF A FEMALE WAS FOUND INSIDE AFTER THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED. THE STATE MEDICAL EXAMINER'S OFFICE IS WORKING TO MAKE A POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION. STATE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING.

THE GARAGE WAS A TOTAL LOSS. OFFICIALS SAY THAT AT LEAST ONE VEHICLE WAS ALSO DESTROYED.

According to Jamestown Fire Department officials, they were called to a mobile home structure fire at 12:30 this morning. About 12 firefighters were on the scene for 4 1/2 hours battling the blaze which was greatly hindered by the very cold weather.
